WHERE IS THE RACE CAR? - 07.07.07
Well where do I start. Yes I will race the car again but I doubt it will make any passes this season.
It came down to safety. The car could have still run the way it was and I am sure it would have clicked off some 7.5s but if I had an accident there was a good chance at well over 195 mph that I may not be around. Please remember I have a wife and 3 kids to support as well.
So as it sits the car has been acid dipped, everything from the front to the back has been taken apart and it currently has a 25.1e chassis so it will be safe and legal for 7.5 and quicker. The car was making very good progress but we finally came to the realization that it would not be ready for the beginning of the season so the decision was made to take our time and do things that we have wanted to try and as always make it unique.
All I can promise you now is that I promise you will not be dissapointed!

Shepherd Racing breaks record again - 9.27.06
At a Norwalk Raceway Park track rental today, Shepherd Racing shattered both ET and speed records today with an amazing pass of 7.72 @ 188.41! Look for more records this weekend at Englishtown, NJ.

7.81 @ 185.03 at MIR! - 8.30.06
This weekend, at NOPI Maryland, the Shepherd Racing team once again broke their own ET and speed records! First with a #2 qualifying pass of 7.85 @ 182.28 and again while beating Gardella in eliminations with a 7.81 @ 185.03! Shepherd placed second in the Pro Outlaw FWD class. An incredible weekend overall!

This weekend at the 2006 DSM Shootout, Shepherd Racing did it again and broke two records. With a pass of 7.95 @ 182.28 they broke their ET and speed record, and also ET and speed without nitrous record! Thanks to all who attended the shootout and supported the team over the weekend. With nitrous back in the car, look for even quicker runs in Maryland August 26-27.

Yesterday at Nopi NY, John drove the Shepherd Racing 1991 Talon to an amazing 8.06 @ 180.94 without nitrous! The team is still working out some bugs with the new setup, but look for more record breaking runs soon! Check out the Timeslip
